My Committment
In our community, we recognize the importance of addressing a variety of priorities beyond just our immediate needs. By focusing on these initiatives, we can build a stronger, more resilient community for everyone.
-
Every child, no matter where they live, should have access to a good education with the teachers, books, and programs they need.
-
Good teachers change lives. We need to pay them what they’re worth and give them the support they need to stay in the classroom.
-
Expand after-school programs, mentorship, and job training so students have more paths to success.
-
Schools do better when parents, teachers, and local leaders work together to help kids thrive.
-
Invest in community policing and de-escalation training so officers and residents can build real relationships based on trust.
-
Support youth programs, job training, and violence prevention initiatives to give people better opportunities and reduce crime at its source.
-
Help nonviolent offenders re-enter society with job programs and support services that keep them from returning to crime.
-
Public safety should work for everyone—officers need support and resources, and communities need fair and effective law enforcement.
-
Advocate for business-friendly policies that lower taxes and reduce burdensome regulations, making it easier for local businesses to expand and create jobs.
-
Partner with local businesses, colleges and Universities, and trade schools to expand workforce training programs, equipping residents with the skills needed for higher-paying jobs.
-
Improve roads, drainage, and public transportation, ensuring businesses have the support they need to thrive while workers gain better access to job opportunities.
