ABOUT MALCOLM
Malcolm Myer brings over 30 years of experience as a dedicated public servant. A well-known figure in governmental circles, he is most notably recognized for his role as State Director for U.S. Senator John Breaux. Over the course of his career, Malcolm has been appointed to top-level executive positions by five Louisiana governors.
Malcolm, an active community and civic leader, has earned recognition from numerous statewide organizations for his hard work and commitment to public service. In 2016, he was appointed Deputy Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections, where he oversaw the Legal Department, Crime Victims Services Bureau, Sex Offender Assessment Panels, and Re-Entry initiatives.
Malcolm has lived and worked in District 67 for 30+ years. He has been married to Renée Boutte Myer for 30 years, and together they have one daughter, Madelyn Myer, and two rescue dogs, Atticus and Barry. Malcolm and Renée have also served as foster parents to several children over the years.
Malcolm is a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and a Lifetime Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
